St. Gregory the Great is in need of one 5th grade boy’s team and one 5th grade girl’s team for their basketball tournament which is coming up on December 4, 5, 11, and 12th.  All teams are guaranteed to play 4 games.  They can contact Bob at rol7033@yahoo.com or call 414-640-5837.

Just a note that at the meeting of 9-21-09, there was a request from the members to increase the admission fees for league games for adults, and discussion followed. Following the meeting, the board met and in accordance with the request of the members, voted to change the maximum admission for adults, which is currently $1.50, to $2.00. The last fee increase was approximately 2000.  

The admission stays the same in other regards, at  $1.00 for high school students and $.50 for grade school students.

 The next item on my agenda is to have all the forms, etc. downloaded onto our web site such as the team commitment form/coaches list, basketball rules, sample score sheet, blank scoresheet, AD/coordinator list, hints for proper scorekeeping, etc.

 A couple of items – I am instructing our referees to strictly enforce the T-shirt rule – the color of the T-shirt that is worn beneath the basketball uniform must match the basic color of the uniform and all players must wear the same color T-shirts.  Also, all uniforms must be tucked in at all times.

 Also, I need updated coaches lists from the following schools:

•  Holy Apostles
• Holy Wisdom
• St. Alphonsus
• St. John the Evangelist
• St. Leonard
• St. Mary
• St. Matthias
• St. Roman

 Most of these forms were only partially filled out one month ago in that not all of the coaches were known at the time.  I need this information within the next couple of days.  Please, get this to me so that we can update the web site with all the coaches names and their phone numbers.

The archdiocese did release a new team merger request form, with a league signoff. This was effective in September, and was previously distributed to the schools. It is contained in this packet
